Michael has graciously allowed me to adopt his website. Please update your bookmark to the new address. I will try to make as little changes to the original interface as possible, so those who are familiar with it will find it true to the original. ^_-The RPG and the Character Art for Aeka, Mihoshi & Kiyone, and Wasyu have been restored to working order. ^^;;;
The merciless criminal Kain has escaped from sub-space where he had been captured! Kain, who was deprived of his freedom by the Jurai royal family and Galaxy Police, demolished the GP headquarters and attacked the Jurai King... His next target is... earth! Around the same time, on earth, Tenchi's house has suddenly disappeared. What's even worse is that Tenchi's body is disapearing, too...! Something must have happened to Achika, Tenchi's mother, in the past! So the gang must leave for a journey to the year 1970.
- Story as seen on the back of the TMiL VHS cassette.I usually have a problem with time traveling movies; villain goes back in time, good guys return before him and stop him. What's to keep the villain from then returning before the good guys? This would start a chain reaction effectively dragging the movie out to the beginning of time. With Tenchi Muyo in Love, the plot is pulled off nicely and plausibly. An incredible amount of storyline was covered by this anime in a short amount of time (95 min.). This is due mainly to the fact that the creators assume you have seen the TV series and know who the characters are. I had not seen the TV series so I was left with more questions than answers. The artwork and plot are the two main reasons this anime stood out. The art work is beautiful and the animation is smooth. Where so many animes suffer, this one excels with a thoughtful, exciting and interesting story.
My review is as follows:
Art: ***** out of 5 Stars
Animation: **** out of 5 Stars
Plot: **** out of 5 Stars
Dubbing: *** out of 5 Stars
Overall review: **** of 5 Stars
I consider this film suitable for all ages, there is a scene with very brief nudity (but nothing is revealed) and a scene between the Special Ops and Kain is mildly bloody (no gushing like in Ninja Scroll).

Credits Want to see what this site used to look like before AON? Keep in mind that none of the media files work on the old version. It's actually still on Michael's school server wasting 100 megs, oh well, he couldn't just throw it away (it's an antique so to say).
Check out Michael's new home page to find out more about him! It's not complete, but the anime section is now finished!
If you have wandered into this site by accident and don't know what anime is please visit Michael's other site: Anime 2000: anime resource guide. If you already know what anime is, Anime 2000 also lists great sites, reputable on-line stores, essential resources for people on the net and places to register your site's URL for an anime only crowd.
